With all the Apple goodness going around yesterday, it seems that the release of the Star Wars Trilogy on DVD sort of slipped under the radar. The three disc set with a bonus disc is available for about $50 on Amazon.
Each disc includes 2 versions of the original Trilogy: the “enhanced” version with new scenes and special effects, and the original theatrical release.
UPDATE: I apparently linked to the wrong product at Amazon. Here are the links to all three episodes.
- Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope
- Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
- Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi

Star Wars? What’s that?
*goes back to listening music on iTunes 7*
are you sure that one has the original versions of the movies? it doesn’t say anything about it on amazon, and it says that dvd was released in 2004.
Dang. You’re right. Fixed the image and updated the post with links to the correct products. Apparently you can’t buy them all as one set.
i actually was able to buy them all as one set as a best buy exclusive, but i don’t think there is any extra discs or anything.

At last. I’ve been waiting for this release. Never liked the new releases.
