With barely anything out on the market having HDMI support, that did not seem to slow down Tzero Technologies and Analog Devices Inc. as wireless HDMI gets closer to release. The good thing about it though that unlike just about everything Sony makes, it is not proprietary, but instead it is a standards-based system, meaning it will work with any devices that have HDMI plugs.

It works by compressing the data using JPEG 2000 (haven’t heard about that technology in a long time). Pricing has not been announced but the system will be demonstrated soon, and become fully available in November of this year. Here is hoping that more companies actually add HDMI ports, or the wireless version will be pretty useless.
