Just as many people predicted, Apple has reached a record sales number. This was Apple’s most profftable quarter ever, and they came within spitting difference Gateway to become the third-biggest U.S. computer maker. I’m not sure of how much this is reflecting in the rest of the world, but I can sincerely say that things are changing.
For example, in my university last year I can’t recall seeing even one MacBook around. However, just today, I saw 3 people with MacBooks on the bar, which is quite unprecedented (though strangely convenient for this article).
Will this boost of sales be enough to contradict Microsoft’s when Vista is eventually released? Only time will tell, however, I can promise you that in 2007, the battle between Microsoft and Apple will be fiercer than ever.
