With Wibr(wireless + broband)comming, I dont know how useful this will be in future. I guess it all depends how well Wibro make its way to the market.

In case you don't know what Wibro is.

It's wireless techknolege like wifi, but better. Unlike wife, it's range is a lot wider and data trasfer rate is faster as well.
Also, you could be driving 60miles/hour and still enjoy your internet connection in your
car - as if you are using your computer at home which is hooked up to the broadband modem.

The potential of Wibro is rather interesting.

Imagine what you can do with device capable of
Wibro. You subscribe for fixed rate of 30 some
dollors per month, and you will be able to
go online any time anyware.

Wibro enabled phone could potentially make
a phone call to the other side of world
at extreamly cheap price.

Of course to this happen, there are other stuff that need to be worked out.

But, in theory, it's very possible.

Currently, Wibro service is available only
in South Korea, Seoul.

Wibro was developed by Samsung, Electronic
giant from the country.

They are making a deal with various communication companies around the world.

It would be intersting to see what kind of
buesiness model Wibro will bring to the industry.

You make some very good points. I really wish we'd see a lot of progress in this area. Eventually, we will, I believe.
