It would appear that the search engine superstars, Google, are attempting to purchase the video-sharing website, You Tube.
YouTube, based in San Mateo, Calif., allows viewers to upload and share video and it estimates that over 100 million videos are watched everyday .It has been speculated that the privately held company would be sold or taken public – although one critic, Internet start-up developer Mark Cuban, was quoted as saying anybody who buys YouTube “is a moron.”
Can’t say I 100% agree with the “moron” statement, but according to recent news, You Tube might be getting into some serious legal trouble. If Google wants You Tube, they’re going to have to take all the lawsuits with it, which could end up being more trouble than it’s worth. At the same time, Google might try to “clean up” You Tube, erasing videos of licensed material. In other words, erasing 90% of You Tube. Can’t say I like the thought of that.

1Personally I doubt the legal issues worry Google. If they did they’d be working harder to keep their OWN video service empty of copyrighted material. And even then it becomes the napster paradox of “we are just a tool for people, go after them”, only in this case the user info is fairly easily tracked and given to authorities if needed, so I suspect that copyrighted material will start to slow down, at least from sources willing to deal with the legal side of gettings their stuff removed, but I don’t see youtube dying because of that. Bandwidth cost might be a bit different, but if Google grabs them, that’s pretty much solved too, along with the advertising revenue side. I don’t think the “moron” statement will come to anything other then “didn’t you say that anyone buying youtube would be a moron?” “yeah” “well who’s the moron now? moron!”

5I’ve just been letting everything pass me by. Shrug. Basically not much notable going on lately.
I haven’t been up to much lately. Eh. I just don’t have anything to say right now. I’ve pretty much been doing nothing worth mentioning. That’s how it is. I haven’t gotten anything done.
I haven’t been up to much recently, but whatever. I just don’t have much to say lately. Basically nothing happening to speak of. So it goes. My mind is like a complete blank. Such is life.
