If they did they'd be working harder to keep their OWN video service empty of copyrighted material. And even then it becomes the napster paradox of "we are just a tool for people, go after them", only in this case the user info is fairly easily tracked and given to authorities if needed, so I suspect that copyrighted material will start to slow down, at least from sources willing to deal with the legal side of gettings their stuff removed, but I don't see youtube dying because of that. Bandwidth cost might be a bit different, but if Google grabs them, that's pretty much solved too, along with the advertising revenue side.
