One of the main reasons why people sometimes don’t always update to the latest version of Firefox or Thunderbird is because they depend or enjoy one of the extensions too greatly to do so. This small extension allows you to make all your extensions work regardless of the version of Firefox you have.

All you have to do is install it is:

  1. Click on “Visit Site” link on the bottom of this article;
  2. Click on the “Install” link in the center of the page;
  3. Click on options on the right side of the yellow bar that will appear below your tabs;
  4. Click on the “Allow” button in the popup that will appear regarding Extension installation permissions, and then close the popup;
  5. Click on the “Install” link in the center of the page again and confirm that you want to install it;
  6. Restart Firefox (after the installation is finished)
  7. In the Firefox menu click on: Tools > Addons > Extensions
  8. Select “Nightly Tester Tools” and click on the “Make All Compatible” button on the bottom right of the window

When I write it down in those many steps it makes it seem more complicated than it is, but in case you aren’t too familiar with installing extensions from sites outside of Mozilla.org that should give you a hand. Enjoy!
