These “top-whatever” lists rarely qualify as news to me, but this Maxim one I particularly enjoyed. Each rank is accompanied by a video of the kill (faint of heart, don’t click) and the selections are honestly quite good. I can’t say I agree with the rankings of the kills, but this is only Maxim’s opinion, after all.

Among the selected are a few of my favorites, such as the Evil Dead eye-gouge, the splinter through the eye from Zombie 2, the liquid nitrogen face smash from Jason X and the immortal exploding head sequence from Scanners.
