After owning a Sony Vaio laptop for almost 2 years I accidentally stumbled upon a “hidden”, almost completely useless trick. When you try to adjust the sound or monitor brightness via the function keys after activating the adjustment menu you can regulate it by either pressing the “-” or “+” Function keys (the default), or just use the Left and Right or Top Down to adjust the setting up and down without having to hold down the “Fn” key.

I have no idea how I came across this, but I guessed it would be a bit interesting for Vaio laptop owners, that is, if your battery hasn’t exploded on you or something.
