In these days, it’s hard to find an article about Sony that isn’t negative, however, it doesn’t seem like they’re really making an effort to change the public opinion. First, the European VP says that European gamers don’t mind the console/game delays, and just for the record, since I’m European, and more than 90% of my friends also are, I am certain when I say that we do mind.
This time, a Sony Australia executive steps up and says that the Wii and the XBox 360 are too expensive:
“For this Christmas, I think that price point is still not family entertainment because AUD $500 is a lot to fork out, but we welcome the Nintendo heritage of gaming where they can appeal to a broader audience because long-term that is critical for the industry,”
Considering that you can buy a Wii and a Core Xbox 360 for just slightly more than a Playstation 3, I don’t understand what he’s talking about. Plus, it’s only helping to damage even further their image. No wonder their stocks are going down, Sony doesn’t need to hurry the PS3, they need to duck-tape their spokespersons.
