This is the one service I do for humanity. I see bad movies so that others don’t have to. And the Grudge 2 is a baaaaad movie. But, on the off-chance that you don’t believe me…

The Grudge 2 is a non-linear quasi-anthology horror film in which the three separate stories intertwine in some way by the filmâs climax. Now, this may sound like a cool idea, but believe me, it *really* isnât. The Grudge 2 is a sub-par sequel to a mediocre horror remake, adding little new material to the story other than a brief, tacked-on, convuluted origin.

I arrived early to a movie one week and got to hear from the director on a “First Look” segment concerning the making of the second Grudge movie. He stated that Japanese horror seems to be more “subtle” than American horror and I can only assume he means movies like Friday the 13th and the Texas Chainsaw massacre because I have seen more subtlety in other horror movies than in this one.

That being said, I found this sequel better than the first one. Maybe it was the way the three stories wove together. Maybe it was that the acting just seemed better, or maybe it was my mood on the day I viewed the movie. I just liked it more. But I too am getting a little tired of long haired dead contortionists who are the scary ghosts in these movies.

same with the chicks.. worked fine for ring 1, and for grudge 1 too… but there’s no spyce anymore

i dint understand any part of the movi…..it was all confusing…..i felt it deserved a flop
