One of the most forgotten and underrated chapters in the history of Mattel’s He-Man character will be making its way to DVD on Dec. 26th…right *after* Christmas.
The New Adventures of He-Man was a departure from the classic Filmation He-Man series, with more dynamic Japanese animation and a different setting. The only classic He-Man characters to return were He-Man and Skeletor. Interestingly, He-Man was voiced by Gary Chaulk in this series, who also provided the voice of Man-At-Arms in the 2002 He-Man cartoon.
For an example of how good the animation in this series was, check out this video of the opening.

2This series includes classics such as “Sword and Staff”, regarded by many as not just the best NA episode, but one of the best He-Man episodes ever, it is one of few outside the five-part epics where Skeletor wins in a single story. Another classic is “Once Upon A Time”, where a near unrecognisble TEELA arrives in the future.
