David Pogue of the New York Times has tried out the Microsoft Zune, and the title of his article sets up the rest of the post: Trying Out the Zune: IPod Itâs Not.
So how is the Zune? It had better be pretty incredible to justify all of this hassle.
As it turns out, the player is excellent. It canât touch the iPodâs looks or coolness, but itâs certainly more practical. Itâs coated in slightly rubberized plastic, available in white, black or brown â yes, brown. It wonât turn heads, but it wonât get fingerprinty and scratched, either. It sounds just as good as the iPod.
