Vonage, the “broadband phone company” has just released their latest phone model which, surprisingly, fits in your pocket. Basically, it’s a USB key, with embed software and a stereo plug (for the Mic and Phones). What’s so great about this? Well, basically, you can carry your phone with you anywhere and make free unlimited distance calls (in most countries). Sure, it doesn’t beat Skype’s price, but it sure beats having a normal “land line” phone, if you live in the Americas.
So if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative for the fixed phone in your house, give Vonage a look.
