According to DailyTech, and their source, Paul Thurott, Windows Vista is “finished” and that the version announced today will be the one shipping to millions of stores.
“My sources at the software giant confirmed this weekend that Microsoft is set to finalize Windows Vista as early as Monday and release the product to manufacturing. The final build number is expected to be 6000.16386.061101-2205, I’m told.”
Remember that build number because I’m pretty sure that a few days from now someone will make some weird calculations with them and end up with “666″ or something similar and mail it to everyone on his contact list.

1Screw those weird calculations:
6000 + 16386 + 061101 + 2205 – 85026 = 666
