You’ve all heard of the countless complains about the Wii wrist straps breaking, and thanks to them, you will probably have a hard time finding Wiimotes on any stores for a while. Nintendo has recalled 3.2 million wrist straps and set up an online form to replace your current wrist strap with the newer, and thicker, one.

Quite frankly, I don’t see what the problem with the thinner wrist strap was. I’ve owned the Wii for a couple of weeks now, I’ve had a lot of friends playing it (because there are only 5 Wiis on the island right now) and none of them threw or let go of the controller. One of them almost broke my living room’s light from performing a smash, but that’s as far as it went.
In any case, if you have one of those redneck friends perhaps you should consider buying the ultimate Wii Wrist Strap: Handcuffs.
