The homebrew scene has been relatively quiet for the PSP lately, and only average, homebrew applications seem to appear. However, Dark_Alex, the infamous PSP “cracker” has made yet another breakthrough in PSP homebrew and released his modified version of the PSP’s 3.02 Firmware, which allows it to run any Playstation 1 ISO game (compressed in a certain format).

Basically this means that you will no longer need to wait for Sony to release Playstation 1 titles on their online store or have to re-purchase all of your favorite Playstation 1 titles again. So if you have a PSP, it’s time to take the dust off of it and start enjoying Final Fantasy and all your other favorites wherever and whenever you want to!
