TUAW recently made a “poll” asking some Mac users what combination of Mouse and Keyboards they use with their Macs. The answer was surprising, and even though they are “rivals” of Microsoft, they don’t mind using their products, when they have quality. Yes, most of them use Microsoft Mouses, and one of the models seems to be a particular favorite, the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 4.0, which happens to be the evolved version of my own mouse, and I agree, it’s a damn great one.

1Definitely. My Intellimouse Explorer 2 is great with my MBP. I’d like to upgrade to a Logitech MX Rev someday, but I’ve been very happy with the feel and battery life on the MS mouse.

2My mouse is also the Intellimouse 2, I love everything about it except for the middle click.

3Amen. I’ve been using various Microsoft mice for years and swear by them. Only good Microsoft products on the market, but they happen to be the best.

4Please people. The only real mouse is a Logitech laser mouse. I cannot believe these people use Macs but then run a Microsoft mouse.

5I prefer Logitech as well.

6I have to agree, the Mac mices are one of the few disappointments nowadays with Apple. I can’t believe they do everything else right except for this, you’d figure after 25 years they’d learn.

7I use apple PowerBook G4 and were given one apple mouse as an accesories. But it sucks big time!!no right click which makes me hard to check the properties and for my sister to do copy and paste. Switch to logitech now

8The plural form of a computer mouse is “mouses”, not mice as you have in your title.

9This is exactly why people shouldn’t be single-minded about their computer systems. It’s okay to have a Mac but to like Microsoft products too. Don’t support a company; support your own damn self, I say. Well played, people.
And Werner, linking to some random Web site provides little in the way of support of your pedantic argument, whereas I summon the power of the “American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition”: http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=mouses
A good day to all.

12one thing i like about the mighty mouse is that it’s symmetrical and i use my mouse with my left hand. my old sony vaio mouse was also symmetrical but does not have as many buttons as the mighty mouse i could assign things to. i use my mighty mouse for both my MBP and Macbook and it works fine…though i wish it was a bit smaller :(
speaking of microsoft and logitec mouse, do they make any that is for lefties that is as functional as the ones you guys like? i haven’t done much research on mouses, but if anyone knows anything about it, i’d like to hear. thanks :>
