Damn son, I guess that if i buy four 24 inch dell lcds to replace my quad 24 inch CRT setup that I should be able to buy 2 of these cards without screwing over my air conditioning system. I just hope that these cards overclock like damn mofos. Hopefully my 1 kilowatt psu will be able to handly my quad core, 4 gigs or ram, 2 of these mofos and 2 10k raptors and my 4 750 gig barracudas. Does anyone know if they makk psus that supply more that 1 kilowatt. Hopefully i wont blow an outlet or anything either, if i plug it all into 1 outlet. lol. 300 damn watts... damn son.

imm with omnighost i cannot see dammit delaying a card and not having it beat the 88gtx easily, more memoryu more bandwidt heftier mem bus,and hopefully it doesnt need the best cpu to run great like my old 2400xp with ddr266,then the same card in my 940 pin fx53 at 2600_+mhz,btw the card was a 9800xt,frame rate were pretty much identical just 3dmark 05 haddaa slightly better score because of the cpu tests.btw still have that fx53 but with a x800xt at 535 core and 1200 mem,but upgraded to 4600x2@2800mhz or rdx200crdr crossfire board with dual x1800xts,yes i bought them when theyu first came out, paid 2500$ or so andsold it a year later for 2000$ and got a dell e1705 lappy with 7900gs flashed to a 7900gtx runnin at 600 cr and 1600 mem with a 1.83ghz core 2 duo 90003dmrk05 and 5000+3dmrk06 runs anything at 1440/800 res.....just 1250$ anyway i beleive ati card have better image quality and color...go r 600

Well i sure hope it beats the 8800gtx, i mean it is coming out over half a year later. I sure would think ATI/AMD would be lame for releasing something that doesn't. Come on Peeps use your head, this is a no brainer.

As high end cards such as the 8800gtx/gts are only useful when gaming at high resolutions, and as most of the buying public games at 1280x1024, its pretty much academic if the ATI (sorry, AMD) card or the Nvidia cards beat the other by 5fps in a game (if you're seeing 100 or 200 fps) isnt it.
Plus, its not all down to the gpu, you need a high end cpu to enable the card to work at its best.
Then you're no-doubt going to have to wait bloomin' months (years?) for any dx10 games to come out, yeah, some already out will be patched. But look how long it took for x9 games, specifically written for x9, to come out way back when.
The good thing is though that having manufacturers in competition will keep prices down, also, the 'lower' end cards will drop in price, which considering the resolution i've quoted above is no bad thing.

why are you guys battling over a fucking card that doesn't even exist? Wasn't ATI suppose to release this shit like 2 fucking months ago? I hate ati and nvidia. I just refrain from playing games b/c of this. Constant performance war over 2 fps... I use onboard 8mb intel. no longer a sucker!

you guys are retarded (monkeyless) they didnt run a standard HL2 benchmark test on lv505, they ran a test in HL2: Lost Coast. and i find it hard to believe that their tests were too far off, because the stats on the r600s were leaked, and just by looking at them you can tell its going to be more powerful that the 8800

Don't believe this alone, check the benchmarks with other review sites. Granted the hardware is going to be a little bit different in each test right, but there are some huge discrepencies. Check out the Half Life 2 benchmarks here: http://www.hothardware.com/viewarticle.aspx and compare them to the ones shown on level505. The review at hothardware.com has the GTX running more than 40 fps faster at the same settings and the same resolution than level505's benchmarks say it does. Check the other benchmarks too, some are a little closer, but they are all off. I'm going to wait till theres an official review to make any decision on which way to go, but even as an ATI fan this seems a little bit odd.

Why would this be biased? If people hold off on that 8800 until the R600 comes out as a result of this review and then find that that it is not a superior card after all, they'll go and buy an 8800 anyway. AMD may be behind this, but wouldn't you prefer to know that the R600 is the better card before you buy an 8800? Or have you already bought one and are feeling the sting? ;0p

CrimsonKnight13 - Really? I was just visiting their site. I guess we'll have to wait and see if their benchmarks are real or not when the R600 arrives. I'm building a new rig right now, and because of all this (and Vista, and DX10, all unproven), I can tell you it's not a good time to be doing it. Glad I didn't just order that 8800 though!
I hate all of the conjecture by amateur punters that fills the web before the release of something big, so I guess I'll ignore both you and Level505 for now..........

Level505.com is no more. Seems like something is definitely wrong. False benchmarks & specifications took it under I think.

Definitely not official benchmarks & Level505 has 2 AMD people running it. I'd say its pretty fishy & the official name of the R600 isn't even announced. Pretty biased, so I'll wait for benchmarks from every major tester out there before I buy the 8800 GTX or the "R600" at the end of this month.

yea I knew this was coming. I would not mind to own a 8800 even if its not as good. Plus now they will probably be cheaper.
