But, it’s not coming from Apple. OWC and their partner Axiotron (who names these companies?) will be unveiling “ModBook, the first ever Mac® tablet computer solution.”

It would be funny if Steve Jobs had an official tablet MacBook to show in January 9. Looks like all eyes are turned towards the next week for MacWorld and CES. But in any case, this new tablet seems to be packing all the features of the original model, and then some, by having an optional GPS module but still maintaining the iSight and the Combo Drive.

1Even if Jobs comes out and tells the world that he has a phone that transforms into a fullsize desktop, laptop, tablet, gaming console, and expresso machine at the push of a button (and weighs 3 oz), there would still be people who say “Oh, is that it?”
Expectations are ridiculous this year.
