Sandisk enters the SSD arena with a cheaper 32GB drive


 

It looks like Samsung’s dominance in the SSD market was very brief, as Sandisk has decided to start producing their own SSD disks and for a cheaper price than Samsung’s.

Expect these drives to add $600 to the price of existing laptops in exchange for a longer battery life, and a faster and silent performance. The first laptops with these drives should arrive on the first semester of this year.
