Even though most gamers were very disappointed when Sony broke their promise of releasing the Playstation 3 at the same time throughout the world it looks like the launch date is coming closer, and Sony confirms that everything is “go” for March 23rd.

The good part about the console being released so late is that it will already have 30 titles to choose from at launch, making it one of the “richest” console launches ever.

“To be able to launch with over 30 titles including retail versions and great downloadable gaming experiences across every genre shows that this is our strongest launch line-up in the history of PlayStation, and is what PlayStation fans in the UK have been crying out for.”

The 60GB version of the console will be available for £425/€599 and the 20GB might arrive or not at the end of the year, depending on the demand.

Personally I think that it’s a good idea to only release one model of the console instead of two.
