Sony’s newest attempt at developing a Micro PC is in fact heading to Europe. A bit later than in Japan and the US, but that’s nothing we European consumers shouldn’t be already used to, or mind, by now, at least according to Sony.

This new model is slightly faster than the US version, but also packs a pretty big price. The UX1XN runs Windows Vista and comes with 1GB of RAM, a 32GB SSD drive (flash memory hard drive), a 1.3Ghz Core Solo, 4.5″ inch LCD with 1024×600 resolution, Bluetooth, Wifi (802.11g), Firewire, Compact Flash and Memory Stick Duo slots, and a 2000 GB pounds, which is more or less 3,861.00 USD, ouch.
In any case, this will be one of the first, if not the very first SSD laptop being sold in Europe, therefore I guess it’s normal for it to carry such a high price tag. But I do hope that the prices will go much lower over the coming months, specially for the SSD drives.
