According to the Sci-Fi Wire, “Lost” co-creator J.J. Abrams may not be sitting down in the Captain’s Directing chair for Star Trek XI, and may instead, adapt Stephen King’s “The Dark Tower” series as his next directorial effort.
To be fair, most of this is just speculation at this point, and J.J. Abrams (who is producing and co-writing the Trek XI film) has never confirmed that he was going to direct the next outing of the Enterprise.
Right now all of this is just a rumor…but we’ll see what happens.
