You know Mike Mignola’s work from Hellboy…but if you want to see Mike Mignola’s true genius…you have to watch Amazing Screw On Head. ASOH is based on a comic book by Mignola, and is 42 minutes well spent.

The story is a comedic send-up of Lovecraftian Horror, and Steampunk styled adventure. President Abraham Lincoln’s top spy is the Amazing Screw On Head, a bodyless robotic looking head that literally screws on to bodies as needed.

In this pilot adventure, ASOH, joined by his loving Man-Servant Mr. Groin, as he must take down the evil Emperor Zombie!

This animated adventure was originally a pilot for the Sci-Fi Channel. I have heard no word on if more episodes are being developed, but regardless, this DVD is a MUST have for any Mignola fan…and seriously, just about any fan in general…
