Even though both of the formats may very well find a place to stay in the market, the numbers don’t lie, and the results are finally up!

Even though the numbers are inconclusive, they do show a sudden growth of the Blu-Ray format, which is mostly thanks to the Playstation 3 (though it’s sales aren’t too great).
Personally, I think that it’s too soon to jump to any conclusions, which is why many major manufacturers still haven’t made the jump to one of the formats completely, like Apple for example. But I don’t really think, at this moment, that the XBox 360 HD-DVD add-on will have an impact on sales as big as the Playstation 3.

1What a great marketing move by Sony to create the blu-ray format. I dont think it will catch on in mass numbers through.
