You know, I kinda thought it was a mistake for Christopher Eccleston is quit Doctor Who after only one season. It seemed like he’d done such an interesting job with the part that it was going to be hard to escape typecasting – even with that short period of time in the role.
Eccleston, however, has been doing pretty darn well for himself since leaving the hit UK series. He is currently on Heroes (playing an Invisible Man) and has now joined the cast of “The Dark Is Rising”, an adaption of Susan Cooper’s best-selling fantasy books helmed by 20th Century Fox and Walden Media according to the Sci-Fi Wire.
He’s still a long way from having the notoriety that he had as The Doctor, but this guy is seriously talented, and I hope we see him on various screens for years to come.
