In an attempt to find out why the Xbox 360 isn’t selling like hot-cakes on the other side of the Pacific, Microsoft has released the “whats wrong with u” website which basically asks people from Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea what’s wrong with the console, since Microsoft self-proclaimed that the console “has got it all”. If you click on Singapore on the bottom links you’ll be given the following question and options:

It seemed odd that a corporation would be stupid enough to name a site “what’s wrong with you” (yeah, even for microsoft) so I did a quick whois lookup. It’s registered to a little marketing company called “e-crusade” based in Hong Kong, registered through networksolutions.com.
It is possible that MS could have hired a tiny unknown company to do make their survey site instead of hiring one of the big/renown marketing companies or have their own marketing department do it… after all, it’s just a simple flash site that any developer could make in a few hours. Or, it could be something else like email harvesting for a specific demographic. You decide.
Japan is unique country.
They have 2nd most advanced and powerful
economy in the world, and yet, the way they
think about world and other nation still
remain pretty darn conservative.
Seriously, I know lots of Japanese gamers
who buy PS over xbox simply because ps
is from Sony – Japanese company -.
As for Korea, xbox is doing a bit better.
But there are considerable amount of
Ms – hatred atmohspher there as well.
But the market is not as conservative
as Japanese.
