Even though it hasn’t been very long since the HD-DVD key was cracked, Slysoft, the makers of DVD backup software have already released a beta utility which allows you to backup any or most HD-DVDs you may have bought.

Will the advances in the HD-DVD cracking benefit it enough to continue leading over BluRay, or will they be it’s demise? One thing is certain, right now they clearly have an advantage due to the Playstation 3’s mediocre sales and now even more thanks to these latest announcements.
