Thanks to the built-in pop up blocking in Firefox it’s rarely an issue these days…except when I’m downloading something. The Download Manager pops up, and drives me crazy. Although 1 Terabyte hard drives aren’t really new (Alienware and Dell already offer 1TB options for their systems), they are certainly becoming more common. At approximately €315 (more or less $420), this new Deskstar 7K1000 Toshiba hard drive offers a pretty ratio between capacity and price. It spins at 7200 rotations per minute, has 32MB of cache and uses SATA as it’s interface. Intel revealed, a press conference a few days ago, some details about the 45nm successor to the popular 65nm Core 2 Duo Processors. “Blades of Glory” isn’t what I would call a particularly geeky movie…but it does feature super-geek John Heder, and Jenna Fischer, who seems to get the geeks blood pressure up, so I decided to check it out. Let me start by saying that I am a fan of Will Ferrell. I enjoyed “Anchorman” for what it was, and I was really impressed with him in “Stranger Than Fiction”. Hey fans of superheroes on television, Smallville has dipped into the DC comics on TV past yet again and this time brought in the lovely and beautiful Linda Carter to play Chloe’s mother in the upcoming episode “Progeny”.
