Game Informer magazine is reporting in their latest edition that a Black XBox 360 will soon be released with a 120GB Hard Drive and an HDMI output and cable for approximately $479. It will not come with an HD-DVD drive, which will make it even uglier when paired with the external drive, and there is no announcement yet regarding any other internal changes
There was already a story buzzing around about Microsoft going for a quieter drive and cooler processor for their Xbox console, so if this new model comes with those two changes, then this article makes sense. And if this does indeed prove to be true, I wonder how Sony will respond to it, since this is obviously a direct attack on them, by matching the color and doubling the hard drive capacity of their most expensive model and still come cheaper.
