This weekend at the Dallas Comic Con Fan Days event, I got a chance to briefly speak with Ernie Hudson about the rumors regarding an animated version of Ghostbusters 3 being in the early stages of production.

“I don’t know how much of it is real and how much of it is wishful thinking at this point.” Mr. Hudson said when discussing the possible animated sequel. “I know Danny wants to to do it, but Danny [Dan Akroyd] has always wanted to do something. I think they have Bill [Murray] on board now to do the voice, though. I think that’s been the main thing holding a third one up. Bill had some kind of approval rights that was holding it up, or there would have already been a third one. I’ll know for sure when the studio calls for me to do the voice, and right now, they haven’t called, but the rumor is out there, so we’ll see what happens.”
