CBR has some new Bat-info for us. It looks like the character of Sal Maroni may be beefed up in the upcoming Batman sequel, and just might be played by James “Sopranos” Gandolfini.
More information has apparently leaked about the story, with the new rumors suggesting that the plot based on “the Joker’s 5 Way Revenge” a 1973 tale spun by Denny O’Neil and Neal Adams that re-introduced The Joke to audiences, as the homicidal maniac we know and love today.
I’m still not convinced of the Heath Ledger casting for the part, but this is a great story to use as a jumping off point. It will be interesting to see how this latest Bat-film develops.
