Samsung has recently released in Korea a new sliding cellphone that is GSM compatible (good news for European readers) and is filled with the usual Samsung goodness: 2 Megapixel camera, VGA (!!!) screen, 3D menus, MP3 player and Micro SD reader.

Even though this cellphone won’t show up too soon in the European shores it should make an interesting offer when it does. And even though it has all those features, it won’t stand out like it’s out of place in your pocket, because it’s only 13.8mm thick.

1VGA screen may be useful in Korea where TV on cellphone is big. But in Europe or the US where there’s no such infrastructure, I think it could be a mere eye candy with no functionality that just drives up the cost.
