According to Aint-It-Cool, emmerging action star Gerald Butler is interested in playing Snake Plisskin in a remake of John Carpenter’s “Escape From New York”. Apparently Butler is at the center of a package CAA started shopping around on Monday morning that also features Neal Mortiz as producer and “Black Hawk Down” scribe Ken Nolan as screenwriter.
“Escape” is one of those franchises I’d always wished we’d seen more of, and I love the Snake Plisskin character…but it is hard to imagine anyone playing him besides Kurt Russell.
Still, I think Butler is a pretty good choice…we’ll have more info as soon as we can.

1Speaking of the 300 and the Spartans. I have an interesting comparison between Leonidas, his 300 and how to apply it to MMORPGs.

2The flash is apparently too large for my screen. Some items are cut off on the
bottom, and you can’t scroll to them without using multiple “focus on this
product” widgets. Otherwise, interesting。http://www.populardownload.net
