One of the things I’ve sometimes found peculiar in the Mac machines I’ve used is that the interface is sometimes inconsistent. You open one program and find a theme, but when you open the other you get a slightly different one.
Thankfully, Apple seems to be addressing this problem with the newest Leopard build, and it appears that now all programs and windows will have the same look. The one you can find on iTunes. I don’t know if the look is really better than the brushed metal one, I guess that that is a matter of preference. But at least now, all your programs will look the “same”.

1I think the ‘new’ unified look is much better than the old one. It’s more smooth and easy on the eyes. The old ‘brushed metal’ look seems a bit silly to me.
