I don’t want to get excited about this movie too early, but so far, every single thing I’ve seen or read about this movie has just seemed spot-on, and this pic is no exception. USA Today posted THIS, this morning…

For those of you that may not know, in the early days, Tony Stark’s armor not only helped him fight crime…it also kept him alive. There was a piece of shrapnel lodged next to his heart, and he had to keep wearing the chest plate under his clothes to keep himself from dying. This has long since been repaired in the comics, but this pic shows the film equivalent of having to continue wearing the chest plate. It looks like there is a center chest piece under his shirt that is glowing cool.

This just looks bad ass, to me, and I can’t wait to see this flick. Jon Favreau is a favorite director of mine, and I can already see by the choices that he’s made that he’s totally into Iron Man, but isn’t going to stick SO hard to the comics that it doesn’t work. This is exactly the way I think a comic adaption should be made…one foot in the source material, one foot in the mainstream audience.
