Maxthon, which is basically the IE equivalent of Opera (a fully featured browser with tabs, mouse gestures and other similar features), recently received an investment from Google. The total investment is rumored to have been of $1 million.

According to the author, of the original article, this is probably a strategy to replace the default search engine to Google in future versions of the program.
