Green puffy sleeves on red skin tight shirt? Check.

Skin tight red and yellow striped pants? Check.

Green elf shoes? Check.

Now…what could we do to possibly make this guy any cooler? AH HA! Let’s give him an amazing and unique super power…

The ability to control BEES.

That’s right ladies and gentlemen, when Assistant District Attorney Rick Raleigh decided he needed to take further steps to ensure that criminals were brought to justice, he whipped out the old bee training manuals and used his unique talent to train an ass load of bees…put together a moderately disturbing costume, and hit the streets to being criminals to justice as “The Red Bee”.

This poor bastard’s lame adventures ran in the pages of Hit Comics #1 through #24 which was published by Quality Comics starting in 1940.

The character was acquired by DC Comics, along with several other Quality characters, and was actually brought into the DC Universe, and made a member of The Freedom Fighters. In current DC continuity (such as it is these days) Rick died battling Baron Blitzkreig.

There’s not a whole lot to say about The Red Bee…I mean…just look at him…he almost DEMANDS to be mocked. Certainly not comics finest hour…
