The movie Fanboys is one that I have been following for years now. It’s been in floating around the net since before Star Wars: Episode One was in theaters, and for a while, I thought it would never happen…but not only has the movie been filmed, but after being seen by Kevin Smith and George Lucas, it’s getting some big help in making it a success.
Kevin Smith is actually filming a cameo role for the film, and George Lucas has given the production full use of original Star Wars sounds. As a result, the films original release date is being pushed back to an August 17th release.
The movie chronicles the adventures of a group of friends who drive cross-country to Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch to fulfill a friend’s dying wish to see an advance screening of Star Wars: Episode I—The Phantom Menace.
