According to newlaunches, the chief distributor of Windows Vista has announced that Microsoft has only managed to sell 244 genuine copies of Windows Vista for two weeks after it was launched (from January 19th to February 2nd).
According to the editor, illegal copies of Windows Vista are available in the streets for as low as $1. I wonder if the problem with those ridiculously low sales numbers is because of the product itself, or the lack of control with China’s piracy.
For what it’s worth, it is my own opinion that Windows Vista is not worth the price it’s being sold for right now. It may seem like a fair, or fitting price for it, considering how long it’s been in development, but given the many problems it has, and the under-achieving features that is has, I think you can make better use of your money.
