Panasonic just released in Japan a new DAP that supports the 3 main digital audio formats (MP3, WMA and AAC). There is no information regarding it’s internal memory on the referring website but it does support SD and SDHC cards.
In terms of dimensions and weight, this player is larger, and heavier than the iPod Nano except in the width. Also, it’s twice as thick as the iPod which puts it more or less on-par with most cellphones, in terms of thickness.

1You are very wrong about it being larger and heavier than the nano. It is only heavier by 1g, n yes almost twice the thickness
Ipod Nano: 40 mm wide, 90 mm long, 6.9 mm thick
SVSD850N: Width 35.0mm× height 90.7mm× depth 11.4mm
Ipod Nano: weighs 42 grams, battery life is up to 14 hours
SVSD850N: weighs 43 grams, 80hrs w/o NC, 60hrs with NC
Additional features over Ipod nano: NC- Noise Cancelling, superior sound quality, FM radio, direct-line recording
