The team behind (formerly known as Gaim) have released what they are calling the final beta before the final version, and have finally given the program a much needed “beauty treatment”, although in terms of layout, it remains pretty much the same.
Other than that, this is a bugfix release. So there are no new features that I have noticed. The program seems pretty stable, although it has already crashed on me once already in a few hours of use.

I tried it as Gaim but couldn’t get Japanese to input correctly (nor could I find any help online) and I had to go through a fairly tedious process to block or unblock people. I wonder if these issues are fixed.
