Behind any company that deciedes to make DirectX 10 compatible for XP and OSX.

I have done extensive research into vista (their own website being the least informative) and just found issue after issue after issue.

I am happy with XP (using simple mods it is responsive and does everything that a user neads to do & i deal with all types of multimedia as part of my work) … Vista’s cons will does out way any pro they are offering.

Saying that i want to play Crysis & buying a system to match & want to play it close to full spec i.e gonna need Direct X 10.

Watch nivida and ati start making linux only cards with their own version of DX and say to hell with windows completely . then where will poor bill be when all his gamer fans dump his useless resource hog for a linux OS while following the gaming world to a better future ..

nah, they will be doing the same kind of catching up that wine and cedega (or whatever that wine off-shot is named) is doing.

what they need is instead a compettetiv framework that will not only work on windows but also on linux, osx and similar.

today the closest thing is SDL+opengl and even that is a stretch…
