VIA, a Japanese hardware manufacturer, have just announced a new motherboard which will be the smallest, full-featured, X86 motherboard ever released, the Pico-ITX.
For those of you that are American, that motherboard is approximately 2.8 by 3.9 inches. It has ethernet, VGA and it (literally) fits in your pocket. Looks like it won’t be long before PDAs just disappear and are replaced for fully functional ultra-portable computers instead.

2Yeah, without the heatsink you could fit it in your pocket… if, by chance, you are the type who doesn’t mind little square burn blisters on and around your thighs… :-D

3But, it’s VIA… I avoid their USB controllers like the plague. Why would I use a mobo from them?
