If you are a photography fan, then this will certainly come as a great announcement. Amazon has purchased the website, but they intend on letting them continue to operate as an independent organization.
“We’ve worked very hard over the last eight years to deliver consistently high quality content to our readers”, founder Phil Askey said. “It will be fantastic to be able to expand and build on that without compromising our quality or independence. With the support and resources of Amazon we can achieve this.”
So what does this mean to you, the readers? Well, basically I think that from hereon the “Buy this product” links will point to Amazon pages, instead of the current C-Net Shopper. In terms of contents, with Amazon’s support, they will hopefully be able to bring many more reviews instead of relying on the manufacturers for the cameras.
