If you thought that Apple would give up on the Apple TV soon, it appears that you’re wrong. Although it’s still far from the storage capacity that we would like to have, 160GB should be enough to keep a considerable amount of media in the device.
But if that upgrade wasn’t good enough for you, then you’ll be happy to hear that Apple will soon bring YouTube functionality to Apple TV, during the month of June, which will take Apple TV in a surprising new direction. Instead of simply being the link between your computer and your television, it will be, more or less, an internet video recorder.
The upgraded model will be available for $399 and should be available for purchase right now. Let us hope that in the meantime, YouTube considers increasing the size of the videos a little bit, because some of them will probably look awful on an HD Television.
