Countdown #51 (DC Comics) – Comic Review

I didn’t read “52″. I don’t know if I’m supposed to have read it to get what is going on in Countdown or not. In fact, I’m not sure what I’m supposed to know, or what the hell is actually going on in the DC Universe these days. The funny part, is that from my recent reviews, you might think I’m a Marvel Zombie…but I have always been a DC fan…and always preferred the DC heroes to the Marvel characters….but ever since Infinite Crisis, I haven’t really felt into the DC books.

I tried most of the relaunches and they left me flat. I wanted to get into the “One Year Later” stuff, but mostly I couldn’t find a way to keep my interest.

Now, I’m totally lost. The Joker has a daughter? Who is she? She’s from another Earth? The multiverse is back? Am I supposed to know these Monitor guys?

I don’t know what i’m supposed to know, and what is supposed to be mystery, so it’s kind of hard to get into this. I don’t know why DC can’t take the time to produce a “Previously…” page to let me jump into the first issue of this new weekly series, but they didn’t…so I can’t…

I’ll probably grab a few more of these because I WANT to read this weekly comic…but man, this is confusing. It’s not BAD, it’s just confusing.

At the end of 52 we had a multiverse of 52 Earths. You don’t really need to know anymore than that.

Here’s what happened in the final issue

I didn’t read the 52 series either but I did enjoy Countdown 51. I’m not sure what is going on either but I’m looking forward to finding out.
