IO-Data has just announced a new card reader that supports all of the current memory card formats available on the market today.
Yes folks, we have already reached 31 different flash card formats in today’s market. I understand that as we move on, they will continue to become smaller, but why can’t a standard be reached. Right now, when I buy a gadget, the first thing I consider is the price of the flash cards.
I love my Sony Ericsson K750i, but if I were to buy the updated model, I would have to shell out on a new Memory Stick Micro which is almost twice as much as a Micro-SD card. At the rate we’re going, we’ll probably have a 50+ in 1 card reader by the end of the decade, if not sooner.
