If you haven’t got an invitation to Joost, you might want to find one, as they have recently secured $45 million dollars in funding from Sequoia Capital, Index Ventures, CBS Corporation, Viacom and Chinese billionaire Li Ka-shing. This money will allow them to continue to grow and improve.
I have been trying Joost for a while now, and have found it to be a little boring. The quality is not really there yet, and the content is still pretty slim. I think this could be a great platform for television stations, as well as video podcasters, but we will have to wait and see.
If you haven’t got your invitation for Joost yet, there are plenty of ways to get one, especially now that Joost has given its current users around 999 invitations.
